Tablet Coating Operator

Coating OperatorPosition: Coating Operator Location: Garland, TX 75238 Schedule: Monday Friday | 5:00 AM 3:30 PM Type: Contract-to-Hire (Weekends/OT as needed)Position OverviewThe Coating Operator is responsible for performing all activities related to coating products according to formula instructions. This role ensures strict adherence to SOPs and GMPs to maintain product quality and production standards while working under the direction of production management.This is a safety-sensitive position involving the operation and monitoring of machinery, equipment, and power tools.Key ResponsibilitiesFollow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety guidelines at all timesMaintain proper health, hygiene, and gowning proceduresClean equipment, utensils, and production areas per approved proceduresAccurately document production activities using batch records and logsOperate coating pans, including monitoring temperature, airflow, spray rates, and system calibrationsPrepare coating solutions (clear and color) and load tablets for processingMonitor gauges, meters, and controls to ensure proper coating conditionsComplete coating cycles, including cooling, polishing, and product dischargeCoordinate with Quality Assurance to verify product specifications (appearance, disintegration, etc.)Identify and report any deviations, quality concerns, or mechanical issuesWork collaboratively with team members and maintain consistent attendancePerform additional duties as assignedAdditional ResponsibilitiesIdentify opportunities for safety, quality, and efficiency improvementsAssist with troubleshooting equipment and processing issuesQualifications & SkillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyBasic math skills (fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages)Mechanical aptitude (ability to disassemble/reassemble equipment)Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishAbility to work independently and in a team environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods (up to 4 hours at a time)Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and reachingAbility to lift up to 40 lbs and handle drums up to 110 kgAbility to perform repetitive tasks, including hand-scooping materialsMust be able to wear required PPE, including respiratorsEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED preferredPharmaceutical or manufacturing experience preferredBasic reading and math skills required to follow instructions and complete documentation Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
