The position evaluates customer requirements, supports equipment selection, and helps guide inquiries from initial request through quotation, order entry, and handoff to execution teams.ResponsibilitiesQuotation & Proposal DevelopmentPrepare pump quotations based on customer specifications, application requirements, and internal engineering guidelinesReview technical requirements and support selection of appropriate product solutionsDevelop pricing using standard costing tools and approved methodologiesEnsure quotations are accurate, competitive, and delivered within required timelinesCommunicate proactively regarding risks, delays, or clarification needsCustomer & Sales SupportSupport Sales teams with technical and commercial information during the quotation processRespond to customer inquiries and assist in clarifying specifications or application needsParticipate in bid clarification discussions and customer meetings as neededEnsure alignment between customer expectations and proposed solutionsTechnical CoordinationCollaborate with Engineering and Product Management to ensure correct application of equipmentIdentify and escalate technical or commercial risks as neededSupport interpretation of customer specifications and industry requirementsMaintain alignment between internal capabilities and customer needsOrder Transition SupportAssist in preparing order entry documentation after awardSupport smooth transition of projects from quotation to execution teamsEnsure all technical and commercial details are clearly documented for handoffProcess Improvement & Market FeedbackProvide feedback to improve quotation tools, templates, and internal processesDocument lessons learned from completed quotations to improve future performanceShare insights on customer needs, pricing trends, and competitive activityQualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferredExperience2–5 years of experience in engineering, technical sales, applications engineering, or industrial equipment supportExperience with pumps, rotating equipment, or mining applications preferred but not requiredSkillsStrong technical aptitude and willingness to learn pump applicationsAbility to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirementsStrong communication and collaboration skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentKey AttributesDetail-oriented and organizedCustomer-focused and solution-orientedStrong team player with cross-functional collaboration skillsComfortable learning technical and commercial conceptsProactive and adaptable in a fast-paced environmentPhysical RequirementsOffice-based role with regular computer workOccasional meetings with customers or internal teamsLimited domestic travel as neededGIW Industries, Inc.
