Patient Registry Representative Irvine, CA Schedule: Standard Hours Duration: 6-month Contract Pay: $20-23/hr (W2) Our client is a globally recognized medical device company. They are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Registry Representative to gather and verify patient data and perform high-volume data entry, comprising approximately 45% of the role's core focus. This position plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of implant patient registry records in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Collect missing information from external customers including hospital staff and doctor officesReview and evaluate patient and event information received; may gather additional data to determine if an event should be forwarded to the Complaint DepartmentPerform peer auditing of IPR (Implant Patient Registry) dataSort and organize incoming mail by datePrint and mail Implant Patient ID cardsRespond to and answer basic patient registry questionsParticipate in projects and may identify potential improvement opportunities to optimize processes for Supervisor reviewWithin the First 90 Days: Develop a solid understanding of team processes and systemsAchieve proficiency in handling standard workflows independentlyDemonstrate strong time management and organizational skillsReduce reliance on supervision while escalating questions appropriatelyContribute to backlog reduction and productivity goals Education and Experience Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field2-4 years of experience requiredExperience in healthcare, biotechnology, or other regulated industries preferred but not requiredFamiliarity with medical terminology preferredPrevious experience in office administration or customer service preferred Knowledge and Skills Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude, including MS Office Suite; ability to type 55 wpm accuratelyExcellent data entry and administrative skills with strict attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentEffective written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal relationship skillsSelf-motivated, dependable, and able to manage confidential information with discretionAbility to interact professionally with internal and external customers and provide feedback in a direct, tactful mannerMust be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teamsBasic knowledge of complaint, HIPAA, and GDP regulationsBasic knowledge of medical terminologyGood problem-solving skillsSubstantial knowledge and understanding of company policies and proceduresRegulated industry experience is beneficial but not mandatory; the ideal candidate thrives in structured, process-driven environments and adapts quickly to repetitive workflows
