Business Controller, Air & Sea, USThe Business Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information for DSV. They will work closely with the finance team and senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that drive growth and profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Manage the month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making by senior management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting and analysis of working capital
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including auditors and financial institutions
Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, including mentoring and professional development
Educational background / Work experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
Master's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
CPA or CMA certification preferred
At least 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis
Experience in the transportation and logistics industry preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and IFRS
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software systems
For this position, the expected base pay range is $100,000-$120,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
