CDL Bus Driver

YOUR IMPACTThis position prioritizes the safety, well-being, and positive experience of all passengers while following established routes, schedules, and safety guidelines. The Bus Driver builds welcoming, supportive relationships with youth and families, models YMCA core values, and helps create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment during transport. This role also includes basic vehicle care, cleanliness, and clear communication with staff to ensure reliable and efficient service. May also provide support in other areas as assigned.What Your Day May Look LikeNo two days are the same in this role — but every day centers on safely transporting members, creating a positive experience on every ride, and ensuring vehicles are clean, prepared, and ready to go.Safely operate YMCA vehicles, including buses and vans, in accordance with policies and state lawsTransport members while following all passenger capacity and safety requirementsComplete pre- and post-trip inspections, documenting mileage, fuel levels, and maintenance needsMaintain clean, organized vehicles and ensure readiness for each tripPromote safety by keeping first aid supplies stocked and reviewing bus rules with passengersBuild positive, friendly relationships with members, families, staff, and volunteersCommunicate regularly with supervisors and team members regarding schedules and needsEnsure compliance with all licensing requirements, including CDL and passenger endorsementsReport vehicle issues, damaged equipment, or safety concerns promptlyIf you enjoy being on the road, value safety, and take pride in creating a smooth and positive experience for every passenger — this role is for you.SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION: 1 PositionPosition 1: Northeast Family YMCASeasonal Part-Time, Non-ExemptMonday - Friday 7:30 - 9:00 amMonday - Thursday 3:15 - 4:30 pmSchedule may vary$18.00 per hour with Current CDLQualificationsMinimum age of 21 for all CDL holders driving over state linesMinimum of two years driving experienceHold a valid driver’s license in good standing with your current state of residenceCurrent Class A, B or C CDL License with passenger endorsement and J08 restriction requiredMust maintain a history of a clean driving record.
