ResponsibilitiesPosition SummaryThe Coordinator, Nursing Administration (RN) provides dedicated administrative, operational, and documentation support exclusively to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). This role plays a key part in organizing nursing operations, supporting regulatory and accreditation readiness, tracking quality initiatives, and maintaining accurate nursing documentation.An active Registered Nurse (RN) license is required to apply professional nursing knowledge and clinical judgment in an administrative capacity. This position does not provide direct patient care and carries no supervisory or decision‑making authority over nursing staff.The Coordinator works closely with the CNO and nursing leadership to ensure compliance, accuracy, and follow‑through across nursing operations while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.Qualifications Qualifications RequiredActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standingAssociate Degree in Nursing3–5 years of related experienceBLS/First Aid certificationHandle With Care certificationVerbal De‑escalation trainingStrong organizational skills and attention to detailHigh level of discretion and ability to manage confidential informationProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsPreferredBachelor’s Degree in NursingExperience with compliance, audits, quality monitoring, or regulatory readinessFamiliarity with healthcare documentation systems (MS4, MIDAS, HCS)Essential ResponsibilitiesPerformance Improvement & Quality MonitoringCollect, analyze, and report nursing performance improvement (PI) and quality metricsMaintain dashboards, data logs, and documentation to support continuous regulatory readinessTrack corrective action items and follow up to ensure timely completionAudits & Compliance OversightConduct routine audits, including environmental rounds, safety and equipment checks, and cleaning log reviewsEnsure compliance documentation is complete, accurate, and timelyIdentify trends or recurring issues and escalate concerns to leadershipDaily Unit Operations SupportVerify completion of nursing and Mental Health Technician (MHT) therapeutic groupsConfirm daily nurse rounds and required RN oversight documentationReview unit and departmental checklists and communicate gaps or omissionsStaff Conduct & Performance SupportAssist with monitoring and documenting staff conduct and attendance issuesPrepare preliminary documentation, coaching notes, and corrective forms for leadership reviewCoordinate meetings related to staff conduct, performance, or attendance as directed by the CNOProvide follow‑up communication with staff as assignedAdministrative & Project SupportServe as primary administrative support to the Chief Nursing OfficerMaintain calendars, schedules, meeting agendas, and departmental workflowsPrepare reports, presentations, and correspondenceOrganize and manage nursing administrative files and documentation systemsSupport department‑wide communications and initiatives
