IP Telephony Engineer

Job Description Responsibilities Design, implementation, ongoing management, and troubleshooting of Cisco Unified Communications Systems, including CallManager/Unified Communications Manager 4.x through 6.x, Unity, IPCC Express and Enterprise. Management and troubleshooting Cisco Analog and Digital voice gateways and devices, including ISR’s, VG224’s, ATA-186’s as well as Cisco IP phones. Required Expertise CallManager/Unified Communications Manager 4.x through 6.x Unity 4.x/5.x CallManager Express/Unified Communications Manager Express Unity Express Strong knowledge of Cisco Voice Gateways, SIP/H.323/MGCP Strong background in traditional IP Networking Strong networking background Understanding of network operations at Layer 2 and Layer 3 Understanding of major routing protocols Understanding of fundamental network technologies (VPNs, NAT, etc.) Qualifications Desirable Expertise Cisco IPCC/ICM Enterprise Cisco IPCC/UCC Express Cisco Voice Portal Administrative experience with Windows and/or Linux/Unix operating systems Experience with Call Recording and Workforce Management Systems (Telrex, Witness360, Nice Perform, etc.) Qualifications Bachelors degree in relevant technical discipline or equivalent professional experience is preferred. Cisco certifications are preferred (CCVP, or equivalent). Qualified candidate must have 2 years experience with Cisco IP Telephony infrastructure, including design, implementation and ongoing management/troubleshooting. Must have the ability to manage multiple projects within the established scope, budget and timeline. Requires complex problem solving abilities with experience in performing root cause analysis.
