Gather pre and post-show, catch-up with friends, or take in the hustle and bustle of New York City.Who you are:The BOH Shift Lead works closely with the Kitchen Manager at Revel and Rye to ensure that we offer a consistently phenomenal service, food, and beverage program. The goal of this role is to guide and support the Porter team with their daily tasks and ensure the completion of those tasks.What you'll do:Consistently support a culture of Enlightened HospitalityConduct pre shift meeting with the Porter staff, assign positions, and address goals for the dayPerform and hold staff accountable to opening and closing checklist dutiesLead Porter staff, ensuring all operational tasks get completed, and guests are given best-in-class service when the manager is absentUphold excellent maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen at all times up to DOH StandardsEnsure excellent service & hospitality is provided for all guests, community, vendors, and investorsContinuously provide support to all service staff and actively participate in the cycle of service, as neededSupport the Hospitality team whenever needed (i.e., callouts, catering, etc.) and respond to emergencies, using good judgement when there are incidents in the restaurantCultivate regulars and continue to find ways to strengthen the Revel and Rye communityWhat we need from you:Experience in a kitchen support position within a similar environmentMust have expert knowledge of DOH StandardsAbility to walk or stand for long periods of timeAbility to work AM (7:00 am - 3:30pm) or PM shifts (6:00 pm - 2:30 am)English and Spanish fluency preferred, but not requiredWhat you'll get from us:At Union Square Hospitality Group, extending Enlightened Hospitality is at the heart of everything we do.
