This role bridges security, infrastructure, and DevOps, ensuring privilege reduction is delivered at scale without operational disruption.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and lead automation-first privileged access remediationDefine secure-by-default pipelines for system changes and package installationIntegrate IAM/PAM tooling with CI/CD and infrastructure automation and API design and developmentLead DevOps engineers in building:Linux sudo automationWindows JEA / DSC pipelinesEnforce immutable infrastructure and least privilege patternsPartner with Security and IAM to translate policy into automationSupport phased rollout using canary → wave-based deploymentOwn rollback strategies and failure recovery patternsProvide technical leadership during Tier-1 production rolloutRequired Experience10+ years in DevOps / Platform Engineering5+ years leading enterprise-scale automation programsStrong Linux & Windows server engineering backgroundDeep experience with:Ansible / TerraformCI/CD pipelinesConfiguration management (DSC, Puppet, Chef)Proven experience operating at 10k+ server scaleDesired SkillsPAM integration experience (CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Azure PIM)Secure software supply chain practicesZero Trust architecture familiarityCloud & hybrid infrastructure exposureApplication Accepted: 4/30/2026The annual salary for this position is between $120,000 - $135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.Benefits: Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:Medical/Dental/Vision/Life InsurancePaid holidays plus Paid Time Off401(k) plan and contributionsLong-term/Short-term DisabilityPaid Parental LeaveEmployee Stock Purchase PlanDisclaimer: The salary, other compensation, and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
