Process Engineer | Project Management

Overview In this role you will design and develop industrial process systems for manufacturing projects, focusing on fluid flow, piping, and thermal systems. You will collaborate with project engineers, vendors, and customers to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions. You’ll move designs from concept to detailed design while ensuring compliance with standards and manufacturability. ResponsibilitiesDefine process requirements, operating conditions, flow rates, and system specsPerform fluid-flow, pressure-drop, pump-sizing, heat-transfer, and heat-loss calculationsSize and specify piping, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and related equipmentDevelop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)Design stainless steel, sanitary, and industrial piping systemsCoordinate with vendors on materials, equipment specs, and procurementManage design deliverables, milestones, costs, and technical documentationParticipate in design reviews and ensure safety, performance, and compliance to standardsCommunicate progress, risks, and changes to the project team Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related disciplineFive+ years of process engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing system designExperience taking designs from initial specs through concept and detailed designStrong knowledge of fluid dynamics, pressure-drop, thermal management, and heat-loss analysisExperience designing piping systems and selecting pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and equipmentExperience developing PFDs, P&IDs, process specs, and equipment documentationProficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorksWorking knowledge of ASME BPE, ASME B31.3, NFPA, and related standardsCollaborative mindsetEffective communicatorAttention to detailFluid dynamicsHeat transfer and thermal managementPFDs and P&IDs development
