HR Coordinator
Temporary HR Coordinator (Benefits & Compliance)
Location: Long Beach or West Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Duration: 6+ months (maternity leave coverage)
Overview
We are partnering with a well-established professional services organization in the Los Angeles area seeking a Temporary HR Coordinator to support their team during a maternity leave. This role will support benefits administration, HR compliance, and employee data management.

Key Responsibilities
HR & Benefits Administration
Process and reconcile monthly benefits billing including medical, dental, vision, HSA, 401k, and voluntary benefits
Support HSA contribution uploads and employer contributions
Coordinate COBRA enrollments, terminations, and payments
Track and process leave of absence requests
Assist with 401k deferrals and loan processing
Generate and review payroll and deduction reports each pay cycle
Communicate payroll-related updates including schedule changes and terminations
Prepare reports and documentation related to payroll and banking notifications
Compliance & Reporting
Support annual EEO-1 reporting
Assist with 401k audit coordination
Maintain I-9 compliance and track visa renewals
Process I-9s and E-Verify cases for new hires
Monitor retirement plan eligibility and measurement tracking
Generate quarterly PTO and internal reports
Coordinate labor law poster updates
Training & Onboarding
Coordinate and administer harassment prevention training programs
Support onboarding processes for full-time employees and seasonal hires
Employee Data Management
Process new hire entries and employee updates in HRIS (ADP)
Maintain employee records including promotions, compensation changes, and legal updates
Support international work requests and related documentation
Qualifications
2+ years of HR experience, with exposure to benefits and compliance
Experience with HRIS systems, ADP preferred
Strong attention to detail with solid organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills
