Mobility Deployment Coordinator
This is a full-time. Pay is $19.73/hr.SUMMARY: Responsible for the performance of radio dispatch functions for the mobility divisions, along with coordinating additional activities and projects for this division. This position, along with the field supervisors, maintains control with the active mobility units to provide an optimum response relating to the needs set by the local governing bodies.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure daily customer happinessAssures that the work area is clean, equipped with all necessary material, and that the equipment is operating properly at the beginning and ending of each shiftAttends training sessions as required to maintain certificationAttends meetings as needed to support customer experience and engagementPrepares computer-generated reports and other incidental and general information for Director of Operations as directedProvides coordination of available resources as efficiently and effectively as possible to ensure prompt handling of all mobility transportsOther roles and responsibilities as assignedQUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:Must be at least 18 years of ageMust maintain valid State of Michigan Driver license and a good driving recordMust have a high school diploma or G.E.D.Must possess current BLS cardMust be interviewed by a Life EMS designeeMust complete specified Control Center orientationAccurate, basic typing skills and computer operation knowledgeExceptional knowledge of all resources available, i.e. cross index, CAD, paging systems, phone system, radio transmitter equipmentExceptional knowledge of city streets and general service area geographyThe ability to think and act quickly in stressful situationsResponsible for maintaining a good working relationship with management staff, fellow associates, public safety personnel, hospital and nursing home personnel, and the general publicAbility to prepare detailed written reportsResponsible for overseeing scheduling needs and volume demands and report any unusual circumstances or resource requirements immediately to the Control Center SupervisorPHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
