Senior Director of Tax-SRDRTAX
Position Summary JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior Director of Tax is responsible for overseeing the tax compliance, planning and accounting for income taxes for Pike Enterprises LLC (PEL) and all related entities (the Company). Areas of responsibility include domestic and international income taxes, sales and use taxes, property taxes, and unclaimed property. This role will work closely with all Company business units, external service providers, and other internal and external professionals. You will report to our Chief Accounting Officer. This job is on-site in Charlotte, NC.Essential Functions High visibility and interaction with senior management to evaluate tax planning strategies and related impact to the organization. Oversight of federal, international, state and local income tax returns preparation and completion coordinating with external service providers. Completion of the quarterly and annual income tax provision under ASC 740 and coordination with the CAO, VP Treasurer and Controller on key tax accounting issues and related reporting. Strong understanding of federal, international and state tax issues associated with potential transactions including related due diligence, coordinating with external service providers as required. Oversight of sales and use tax compliance and coordination with operations team on contractual issues and determinations related to taxability. Oversight of property tax function including compliance and appeals. Oversight of unclaimed property compliance and remittance to states. Coordinate with external service providers in foreign locations to ensure local country compliance obligations are met. Ensure compliance with Pillar Two obligations with respect to foreign operations. Manage the development and oversight of intercompany, transfer pricing, and management fee arrangements as applicable for foreign operations coordinating with external service providers as required. Oversight of any audits of federal, international, and state and local income tax returns, sales tax, and property tax filings. Manage external provider to ensure entities are appropriately registered in states and annual reports are filed. Ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place and followed for the Company's accounting for income taxes. Assist the CFO, CAO and Treasurer with monitoring cash flow requirements and performing tax projections for federal, international, state and local income, sales and use, and property taxes. Supervise a professional staff of two direct reports. Manage the transition of any new responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time in an efficient and timely manner.Minimum Requirements 10+ years of experience in the accounting and finance sector with an emphasis in tax 7+ years of experience managing other accountants and tax professionals 7+ years of experience working in $1 billion + in revenue, multiple operating unit businesses either in industry or public accounting 2+ years of international tax experience is required Bachelor's in Accounting is required Strong ability to manage and coach multiple employees to provide workflow direction, performance feedback, and career development support Thorough knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications including Excel (Pivot Tables, advanced functions) Strong tax technical skills, specifically related to federal, international, and state taxation, as well as ASC 740 financial reportingPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
