Spanish Tutor
OVERVIEWJOB TITLE: Spanish TutorLOCATION: St. Paul CampusPAY RATE: 16.50JOB SUMMARY:Tutoring sessions are expected to begin Wednesday, September 9th, 2026.The primary responsibility of the Spanish Tutor is to provide academic support to students under the supervision of a faculty supervisor. Tutors offer both individual and group tutoring sessions focused on strengthening students' understanding of Spanish language, grammar, translation, cultures, and course content. Tutors may also assist faculty with classroom-related support and instructional activities, as needed. In addition, tutors maintain a regular weekly schedule to provide tutoring assistance during designated walk-in hours.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Essential functions include, but are not limited to:Provide individualized tutoring support to students with varying levels of Spanish proficiencyAssist with handouts, writing, and speaking assignmentsReinforce grammar, vocabulary, translation, and reading comprehension skillsMaintain a professional, respectful, and supportive learning environmentCommunicate clearly and patiently with students during tutoring sessionsAssist students with homework assignments and exam preparationParticipate in tutor orientation and training sessionsTrack and report the number of students, courses, and topics coveredRemain up-to-date on department information, as neededQUALIFICATIONSAvailable to work 4-6 hours per weekSolid understanding of SpanishStrong work ethic, initiative, and willingness to learnAbility to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a teamDemonstrated desire and ability to support student learning and academic successStrong written and verbal communication skills in English and SpanishSelf-motivated, responsible, organized, and attentive to detailReliable and able to complete responsibilities with minimal supervisionWHEN APPLYING:Please record a short video responding to the questions below:In Spanish, introduce yourself by sharing:a.
