Learning Technology Manager
Overview
As Learning Technology Manager, you own the LMS strategy, governance, and ecosystem, ensuring an intuitive, compliant, and business-aligned learning experience. You lead evaluation and deployment of emerging learning tech, including AI-enabled solutions, working with HR, IT, and business leaders to maximize adoption and organizational value. You drive continuous improvement, vendor relationships, and integration with enterprise systems. ResponsibilitiesStrategic oversight of LMS strategy, governance, lifecycle, performance, and roadmapDefine business requirements and prioritize system enhancementsEvaluate and implement emerging learning technologies (AI, adaptive learning, digital tools)Lead LMS administration, configuration, maintenance, and optimizationEstablish governance, security roles, permissions, and proceduresOversee LMS integrations with HRIS, enterprise systems, vendors, and content providersCoordinate testing, releases, and issue resolutionMonitor performance, data integrity, and continuous process improvementsPublish and maintain instructor-led, virtual, online, mobile, and blended learning in the LMSEnsure content complies with SCORM/xAPI/AICC standardsProvide technical guidance on LMS capabilities and content deliveryServe as liaison between HRIS, IT, L&D, Safety, Operations, vendors, and leadersTranslate business needs into scalable tech solutionsPartner to align learning tech with strategy, priorities, and complianceChampion LMS adoption and best practicesSupport regulatory, compliance, and training requirementsMaintain security, access controls, and data privacySupport audits with reporting and documentationManage LMS vendor/partner relationships and contract renewalsHelp develop budgets and identify cost-saving opportunitiesDesign and improve learner experience (navigation, branding, journeys, accessibility)Develop adoption, change management, and training programsCreate user guides, tutorials, and technical documentationDevelop dashboards and analytics to monitor KPIs and performancePartner with leaders to define meaningful learning KPIs
Key requirementsFive years’ related experience with three years’ recent SAP SuccessFactors LMS administration or equivalentBachelor’s degree in Education Technology/Administration/Instructional Design or related field is preferredProficiency in LMS administration, database management, and online/virtual instruction leadershipKnowledge of learning analytics methodologiesKnowledge of design software/tools (Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate) is preferredExperience with Adult Learning Theory in virtual learning is preferredIntermediate proficiency with MS Word and ExcelStrong communication and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesAbility to work with global, cross-functional teamsBudgeting capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing prioritiesAbility to negotiate and influenceAbility to analyze data and derive insightsstrong communication (written and verbal)ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesactive listening and open feedbackLMS administrationSAP SuccessFactors learningdata management
