Once seen as a retirement oasis, the Coachella Valley has attracted young families and the area is seeing rapid growth and development.The Ideal Candidate Will Possess The Following SkillsStrong optometric clinical skillsStrong refractive skills, prism binocular testing and appropriate prescribingExperience with scleral lenses, RGPS, myopia management preferred but not requiredCandidate desire to perform vision therapy services may be welcomedStrong customer service skillsStrong communication skillsStrong computer skills including keyboarding, versatility in software and proficiency in both Mac and Windows OS, fully integrated EHR system2-5 years' experience post-graduate preferred but not required, New grads welcomedAdvanced time management skillsAbility to diagnose and treat eye-related disorders and conditionsAnalytical approach to clinical care and refractions Requirements: California TLG optometry licensePractice is driven to provide exceptional patient experience in an extremely organized, fun and modern environment. The associate will have the opportunity to play a greater role in expanding our medical and vision services, with the opportunity to grow in the business if desired.Description Of DutiesConduct routine eye examinations including refractionsPerform limited medical eyecare within full scope of licensure, visual field tests, OCT, Cornea TopographyAppropriate referrals to various ophthalmology specialties with proper communicationExcellent communication and recommendations for patientsSpecial services offered at our practice include lasik co-management, myopia management, keratoconus contact lens fittings including scleral lenses. Interest in these areas is preferred but not required.
