Instructional Designer
Overview
As a Senior Instructional Designer, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative learning solutions that drive performance and business outcomes. You will partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to architect learner-centered programs across enterprise-scale efforts. You’ll blend e-learning, instructor-led, and blended formats, applying LXD and ADDIE to elevate content quality and user experience. This role places you at the heart of transforming training to meet current policies and business needs while influencing safety, sales enablement, and workforce development.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop engaging learning experiences using adult learning principles and instructional design best practicesCreate e-learning, self-paced, instructor-led, and blended learning solutionsManage projects through the full learning lifecycle, from needs analysis through deployment and evaluationPartner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and define effective solutionsDevelop content, job aids, assessments, and supporting learning materialsArchitect learning journeys and support large-scale program design initiativesRecommend learning strategies that drive performance, behavior change, and business outcomesContribute to content strategy, curriculum development, and learning program optimizationApply Learning Experience Design (LXD) principles to create engaging, learner-centered solutionsSupport safety, operational, sales enablement, and workforce development training programsDesign certification and skills-based learning experiencesReview and modernize legacy training materials and course contentImprove learner engagement, course flow, visual design, and overall user experienceEnsure training materials remain aligned with current policies, processes, and business requirements
Key requirements7+ years of instructional design experience in a corporate learning environmentStrong expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design methodologies, and performance consultingExperience applying the ADDIE framework, including Analysis, Design, and DevelopmentDemonstrated ability to conduct needs assessments and identify appropriate learning interventionsProven experience developing e-learning and blended learning solutionsStrong stakeholder management and facilitation skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication, presentation, and consulting skillsExperience working independently with limited day-to-day oversightstakeholder managementfacilitationcommunicationadult learning theoryinstructional design methodologiesADDIE
