Associate Analyst, Revenue Requirements

This includes, but is not limited to, direct company sponsorship, listing Eversource as the employer of record on immigration documents, or any work authorization that requires company involvement or documentation (e.g., H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, J-1, O-1, etc.).Role and Scope of Position: The Associate Revenue Requirements Analyst is responsible for the reconciliation of revenues and costs used in various regulatory-approved tracking mechanisms and the preparation of retail regulatory filings for the Eversource System.Essential Functions: Compiles accounting information related to revenue requirement projects and assignmentsPrepares accounting information included in filings such as:CL&P and YGS rate case filingsCL&P’s Rate Adjustment Mechanism TrackersCL&P's and YGS’s CAM compliance filingsCL&P and YGS ROE results filingsOther miscellaneous compliance filing requirementsParticipates as directed in business group project teamsMaintains knowledge of industry trends and industry-related legislation pertinent to the business areaKeeps Manager informed of issues, impediments and progressTechnical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:Technical Knowledge/Skill: Knowledge:Strong knowledge of basic accounting and/or finance theory Strong knowledge of accounting and/or finance practices and proceduresOther Preferred Knowledge:Understanding of deferred accounting principlesUnderstanding of the concepts related to the Companies’ return on equityAccounting research techniquesSkills:Ability to work in an operating environment that requires both the understanding and the appropriate application of generally accepted accounting and economic principlesAbility to understand and interpret complex documentsStrong problem solving skillsAbility to analyze data and information and extract relevant factorsStrong spoken and written communication skillsFunctional understanding of computerized business systemsDemonstrated skill with MS Office ApplicationsAbility to multi-task and shift among multiple priorities simultaneouslyEmerging business acumenStrong team membership skillsAbility to be flexible and adapt to new situationsAbility and willingness to work with a sense of urgencyInitiative and personal ownershipStrong customer service orientationPossesses a high degree of personal ownership and accountabilityEducation: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or closely-related discipline required.
