OverviewKimley-Horn is seeking a Landscape Architect with 4+ years of experience to join the Fort Lauderdale, FL office! This is not a remote position.ResponsibilitiesYou'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on a wide range of project types - from mixed-use and multifamily developments to parks, urban streetscapes, and civic destinations. You'll take design ideas from concept through construction, contributing to every stage of the process.Lead and support the design, documentation, and delivery of public and private sector projects.Develop creative, technically sound site planning and landscape design solutions - with a strong understanding of grading, drainage, and constructability.Prepare and review construction documents, details, and specifications with an emphasis on quality control and quality assurance.Participate in the construction administration phase, including submittal reviews, RFIs, site visits, and coordination with contractors and clients.Manage tasks, schedules, and budgets while coordinating across disciplines.Mentor junior designers and contribute to team growth and training.Engage directly with clients and city representatives during design and review processes.Contribute to proposals, scope writing, and project presentations.Leverage tools such as AutoCAD Land F/X, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion, SketchUp, and GIS to develop and communicate design intent.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.4+ years of professional experience in design and production.Registered or on-track for Landscape Architect licensure (PLA/CLA).Strong grading, technical detailing, and construction documentation skills.Experience with QA/QC processes and construction administration.Proficiency in AutoCAD Land F/X and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with Lumion, SketchUp, Civil 3D, and Microsoft OfficeProject management experience or a desire to grow into leadership and build others.Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.A passion for design excellence, client service, and creating lasting places.Portfolio or work samples will be required if considered for an interviewWhy Kimley-Horn?At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
