Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist performs daily functions of the Human Resources department at the professional level in some or all the following functional areas: conduct pre-employment screenings and guide new hires through onboarding process, evaluating and administering wage scales, annual employee review coordination, timekeeping, employee relations, as well as safety, training and compliance initiatives. The HR Generalist is vital in administering and enforcing company policies and practices. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization. The Human Resource Generalist must be able to maintain confidentiality and be sensitive to corporate needs, and employee goodwill.

Essential Duties:
This position requires regular reliable attendance. Must possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, knowledge and confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills required.
1. Assist in maintaining employee personnel paper and electronic files.
2. HRIS administration ensuring compliance, data integrity, and accurate reporting.
3. Field employment related questions from applicants, employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
4. Maintain and process all unemployment notices of entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner and respond to any corresponding wage requests and data inquiries.
5. Provide requested verification of employment when requested by outside agencies.
6. Track and maintain employee certifications to ensure there are no expired licenses for all clinical staff. Pull reports and update licenses from online directories. Communicate with employees and supervisors when nearing expiration.
7. Monitor and track all employee education and mandatory training, (i.e. anti-harassment, BBP, etc.).
1. Review training for adherence to compliance requirements.
2. Work with the Health, Safety and Training Specialist to ensure timely launch of all training.
8. Update job descriptions when positions become available.
9. Act as a back up to the Recruiter and Benefit Leave Administrator.
10. Assist new employees through the onboarding process. Verify all employees complete and pass all pre-employment requirements prior to their first day. Coordinate with supervisors and team leads regarding new employee’s first day. Create and ensure accuracy and completion of all new employee records.
11. Manage and maintain the incident reporting platform. Process all incident reports, escalating as necessary for incident follow up and investigation.
1. Send weekly emails to those with open incidents for review.
12. Provide backup to Benefit Administrator in their absence or when assistance is needed.
13. Evaluate new and existing employees for ergonomics. Handle all ergonomic requests for all employees.
14. Create and coordinate employee recognition events and maintain company employee recognition initiatives.
15. Manage and administer company employee recognition platform.
16. Manage network and physical access for CORA employees with business partner organizations.
17. Create reports, perform audits as needed.
18. Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best HR practices; review, update and publish policies regularly to maintain compliance.
19. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and new technologies in human resource talent management, and recruiting.
20. Coach, counsel and guide managers with employee issues.
21. Act as an employee relations resource.
Education and Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field is highly preferred. An equivalent of five years of level human resource or business administration experience accepted. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required with a strong aptitude for problem-solving, with ability to work as part of a team or individually. Intermediate level, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Frequently assists in patient mobility. May often transport patients in wheelchairs, on a gurney, using a Hoyer Lift or Gimme-A-Lift device. Often transports diagnostic devices and patient care supplies of varying weights and occasionally moves paper/boxes of varying weights, up to 50 pounds.
Move or Transverse
Constantly moves about the inside of the office/exam rooms for patient care and to access supplies and various diagnostic/office machinery, etc.

Constantly operates diagnostic machines and/or other office productivity machinery, such as a computer, iPad, copy machine, printer, etc.

Frequently communicate with physicians, patients, and coworkers who have questions about exams, preparations, or other patient care needs.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Must be able to visually see the patient to position or assist and identify changes in the patient’s well-being.
Must have the ability to read orders or other communications on the patient’s and clinic’s behalf.
Exposure to work
Normally works indoors.
Occasionally will take patients outdoors in the event we are using mobile scanners or transporting items to laboratories.
