Role Purpose
The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost. This role partners closely with operations, quality, and engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure stable, capable production processes in compliance with ISO quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
Scope & Responsibilities
Perform assigned duties in accordance with documented procedures and work instructions
Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency
Analyze process performance using data, metrics, and statistical tools to identify improvement opportunities
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen events
Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
Support new product introductions, process validations, and equipment commissioning
Collaborate with quality to investigate and resolve process-related defects, nonconformances, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Partner with operations and maintenance to improve equipment reliability, process capability, and standardization
Conduct time studies, capacity analyses, and line balancing activities
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety, quality, regulatory, ISO, and customer requirements
Support internal and external audits related to process, quality, and regulatory compliance
Protect and manage controlled technical data in accordance with ITAR and export control requirements, where applicable
Communicate professionally with co-workers and work cooperatively with colleagues across departments
Perform other duties as assigned
Work Experience & Skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field) strongly preferred
Experience
3–7+ years of process or manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment, preferably within an ISO-certified facility
Skills / Knowledge
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production systems
Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
Knowledge of process capability, SPC, root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and process documentation
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems
Understanding of ITAR requirements and handling of export‑controlled technical data, where applicable
Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office applications

Physical or operational requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the manufacturing facility for extended periods
Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
