Staff Accountant

This position is ideal for an experienced Staff Accountant who thrives in dynamic environments and is motivated by building structure within growth.Accounts Payable (Primary Focus)Manage full-cycle AP process including invoice entry, coding, approvals, and weekly payment runsEnsure timely and accurate vendor payments while maintaining strong vendor relationshipsReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies proactivelySupport implementation of scalable AP processes, controls, and automationAccounts ReceivableAssist with invoicing and cash applicationMonitor aging and partner with internal teams to address outstanding balancesSupport collections efforts while maintaining strong customer relationshipsJob Costing & InventoryTrack and analyze job costing for manufacturing projectsPartner with operations to ensure accurate cost allocation (materials, labor, overhead)Assist in inventory tracking, reconciliations, and periodic countsIdentify cost trends and variances to support business decisionsGeneral Accounting (Core Staff Accountant Duties)Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaids, allocations)Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting documentationAssist in month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reportingSupport preparation of financial statements and internal management reportsAnalyze variances and provide insights on financial performanceCompliance, Controls & Process ImprovementEnsure adherence to internal controls and accounting policiesAssist with audit support (external and internal) including PBC schedulesIdentify opportunities to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and reduce riskBENEFITS:- Healthcare Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision- Other Insurance: Life and Disability- Retirement Plan- PTOQualifications5+ years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing or government experience preferred)Strong hands-on experience with accounts payable and general ledger accountingExposure to job costing, inventory accounting, or cost accounting highly preferredExperience working in a startup or high-growth environment is a plusProficiency in Quickbooks online and Bill.comRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
