Dedicated to helping New York become economically and environmentally sustainable.A Commercial Electrician will assist with the installation of new projects and the rehabilitation of existing.Commercial Electrician Duties And ResponsibilitiesCan install full service upgrades from the PSEG connections, to replacing masts, meters, and full panel swapProficient in troubleshooting electrical circuitsRepairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments.Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.Understand layout and assembly of solar modules/array and mounting hardwareMechanical and structural mounting of racking, modules, and electrical equipment;Basic electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)Ensure proper clean-up of job site.Willing to drive to the warehouse everyday to pick up a service truck and drive to all NYC boroughs and across Long Island.Attend training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety;Responsible for following the safe work practices for the installation teamAll other assignments and special projects, as requested by Management.Requirements3+ years of experience as an Commercial electricianSolar experience is a plus but not required - will need to learnClean drivers licenseOSHA 10/ or 30 (preferred, can obtain after being hired)Must have own toolsAbility to safely terminate live wires and perform an electrical service upgradeMust be comfortable with being on roofs with pitched surfaces/Cannot have a fear of heightsAbility to work in extreme weather (hot and sunny as well as colder temperatures)Ability to climb ladders/stairsBenefitsMedical, vision & dental InsuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)401(K) with up to 6% matchPaid TrainingPaid time off (vacation, sick, bereavement, etc.)Company paid disability insuranceGrowth potential for committed individuals
