Role Overview As a Multi-Spindle Automatic Screw Machine Setup & Operator, you will set up and run manual and automated equipment that produces precision parts for the automotive, medical, and electrical industries. Your expertise keeps our machines in top shape and our output precise. A night on the floor might look like this: Dialing in a multi-spindle machine—Tornos, Acme, or Gridley—to meet a tight tolerance on a new part number. Reviewing blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine the exact sequence and tooling required. Running parts, checking critical dimensions with precision measuring instruments, and making adjustments to maintain conformance. Performing routine maintenance and repairs to keep equipment running safely and reliably. Documenting setups and recording measurements to ensure repeatability and quality. Core Responsibilities Operate manual and automated machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Maintain and repair machine tools and equipment. Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine the specific operation to be performed. Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Set up and adjust multi-spindle screw machines such as Tornos, Acme, and Gridley. Schedule Night shift: Sunday night through Friday morning, roughly 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Start time can be adjusted as needed. Standard 50-hour work weeks. Why choose Autocam/NN Inc.?
