Professional Home Delivery Drivers The Home Delivery Driver delivers products to designated locations in an efficient, effective and safe manner, while promoting exceptional customer service through quality workmanship, as well as clear and professional communication.Great role with a great team! Experience a new and exciting opportunity of becoming a Delivery Driver. In this role you are responsible for driving to customers' homes on pre-routed trips. Delivery can range from drop at doorstep to full set up of product in home. In this role it is critical to have a customer centric mindset as your delivery is direct to the customer and our goal is to always give our customers a world class experience.Requirements:Clean Driving record - 3 yearsNO CDL neededMust be 21 years of age1 year of box truckHandle product safely.Conduct physical inspection of product to identify damages goods, performs touch- up and repair as needed on product.Place product in designated storage areas safely.Prepare and load customer delivery trucks.Unload and safely place product in customer home.Understand and comply with all store policies and procedures.Remove all packaging materials from the location.Communicates and documents customer concerns to Warehouse Support.Communicates credit, damage and essential information to Customer Service Department.May be required to complete shipping/ receiving paperworkMay be required to complete Department of Transportation paperwork.Maintains clean and organized warehouse area.Maintain a professional image.Assist driver as needed with vehicle inspection, routine maintenance and fueling of vehicle at approved locations.Completes other assignments and special projects as requested.Maintains reliable attendance.Knowledge of:Local geographical areaLifting techniquesFurniture industry and furniture assemblyFurniture lineWorking knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools Skills and Abilities Ability to obtain and maintain required State and Federal driving requirementsAbility to frequently lift, push, or pull 100 lbs plus to shoulder heightAbility to assemble furnitureAbility to work safely in an environment that is frequently exposed to moving mechanical partsEffective interpersonal communication skillsEffective time management and organizational skillsWork independently as well as in a team environmentAnalytical and problem solving skillsMaintain confidentialityRespond professionally in situations with difficult employee/vendor/customer issues or inquiriesPower tools, lifting equipment as required, scannerMental Effort Work is performed under strong demands in a fast-paced environmentCommunicating with diverse customer populationGenerates suggestions to improve processesCreate, interpret, and analyze Continuous Improvement toolsDisplays empathy, understanding, and patience with employees and external customPhysical Requirements Sit for extended periods of timeStands and walks/moves to different locations as neededFrequently lift, push, or pull 100 lbs plus to shoulder heightFrequent bending and stoopingCompensation: This position pays an hourly rate of $19.00 - $19.00Benefits: When you join our family, you are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits programs which includes Health, Dental, Vision, Life/Disability, Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k), 80 hours paid vacation and 40 hours of California Paid Sick Leave.Ashley values its diversity and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
