Junior Construction Estimator

Job Overview We are seeking an Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing construction projects and providing accurate cost estimates to ensure projects are completed within budget. Internal training will be provided. Duties - Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work - Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment - Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors and vendors to gather necessary information - Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred - Some experience in construction estimating preferred - Excellent negotiation skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines - Familiarity with construction contracts and pricing strategies preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $50,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 3% Match Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Compensation Package: Yearly bonus Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Morning shift No nights No weekends Weekends as needed People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Experience: Construction estimating: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Woodside, NY 11377 (Required) Work Location: In person
