Job SummaryThe Residential HVAC Lead Installer at Happy Home Services is responsible for the proper, efficient, and timely installation of residential and light commercial HVAC systems and related components, working alongside a helper. This position operates under general supervision and includes a degree of independent judgment and on-site problem-solving. The Lead Installer reports directly to the Install Manager and is classified as a safety-sensitive position.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall HVAC systems and related equipment according to Happy Home standards and manufacturer specificationsFollow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environmentWire both line-voltage and low-voltage components for heating and cooling systemsInstall and braze/solder copper refrigerant lines for air conditioning systemsInstall sheet metal ductwork and flexible duct systems in residential and light commercial applicationsProperly install and connect gas lines to heating equipment in compliance with codes and safety standardsPre-measure job sites to determine required materials and installation needsReceive, verify, and load all equipment and materials required for each jobAssist other lead installers as directed by managementTrain and support installation helpers to ensure quality workmanship and efficiencyBuild and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, management, and customersAccurately complete all required job documentation in a timely mannerTake and interpret system readings and understand their importance to system performanceMaintain cleanliness and organization of assigned company vehicleEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredEPA Certification required3-5 years of HVAC installation experience requiredKey CompetenciesStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent customer service and problem-solving abilitiesDependable, honest, and professional work ethicStrong mechanical aptitude and HVAC system knowledgeAbility to identify and work with a variety of HVAC equipmentSelf-motivated with the ability to follow direction and work as part of a teamMaintains a professional image representing Happy HomeValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in extreme temperatures for extended periodsMust be able to work in varied environments, including confined spaces and rooftopsAbility to safely lift and carry over 100 poundsWillingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as neededFrequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling requiredMust be able to perform duties in a safety-sensitive role
