Mechanical Assembler 4x10 Shift
Mechanical TechnicianBME Fire Trucks is looking for experienced Mechanical Technicians. The chassis is the foundation of the fire apparatus and is the power that drives the truck as well as the water pump and controls the lights and sirens. As a Mechanical Technician you may be responsible for:Putting on bumpersPutting on rear stepsAttaching the water pumpRequirementsWhat it takes to catch our eye:Background in automotive or diesel mechanics.Basic math skills with ability to read tape measureAbility to lift up to 100 pounds (rarely required but could be possible)Ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly as well as climb stairs/laddersAbility to pass a drug test and a criminal background check.High school or adult mechanic's courseMechanic apprenticeshipExcellent diagnostic skillsAbility to use plasma torchExperience with hand and power toolsExperience with DOT airline fittings, PTO gear boxes, drivelinesHands on experience with impacts, drills, plasma torches, magnetic drillsDependabilityMotivationSelf-DriveThis is a full-time permanent position located on site in Boise, Idaho.
