Retail Operations & Inventory Manager Three Lakes Hardware – Three Lakes, WI Full-Time | $25/hour Three Lakes Hardware is seeking a hands-on Retail Operations & Inventory Manager to lead daily store operations, oversee inventory systems, strengthen merchandising, and deliver professional customer service in a fast-paced independent hardware environment. This is a working leadership role — not a desk position. You will manage operations, support staff, analyze inventory, and assist customers directly, sometimes running the store independently. We are rebuilding and strengthening store systems. This role requires initiative, operational discipline, and the ability to lead by example. Responsibilities Oversee daily retail operations Manage purchasing, receiving, and inventory control Improve merchandising, product presentation, and floor organization Identify and move slow-moving inventory Support and guide retail staff Maintain cash controls and daily reporting Operate and manage digital POS and inventory systems Deliver consistent, professional customer service You will work directly with ownership in modernizing store processes and improving operational efficiency. Qualifications 3+ years experience in retail operations, inventory management, or store leadership Strong merchandising and product presentation instincts Comfortable working with digital inventory platforms and POS systems Ability to analyze stock levels and sales trends Clear written and verbal communication skills Self-starter mindset with independent decision-making ability Willingness to perform physical tasks (lifting, stocking, organizing) Availability for weekends and peak seasonal periods Valid driver’s license You must be comfortable both on the sales floor and behind a computer reviewing inventory reports.
