Field Safety Technician

Job Title: Field Safety TechnicianReports to: Safety DirectorPosition Purpose: The Field Safety Technician will work closely with HVAC technicians, controls technicians, warehouse personnel, and project teams to ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are met and followed. The candidate will be expected to travel to company branch and job site locations and will be responsible for job site and warehouse safety observations, inspections, assist with accident investigations, documentation, and reporting.Employment at Will: Nothing herein is intended to create a contract of employment or to guarantee employment for a definite duration.Duties and Responsibilities:Weekly travel (NC, SC, GA, VA, TN)Performs construction site and warehouse safety observations and inspectionsPromote safe work practices and safety guidelinesProvide communication and documentation of the inspections carried outEnsure project sites are adequately equipped with safety equipment and PPEProvide consultation and advice to the field team members and assist them with maintaining a safe working environment by complying with company and government safety regulations, practices, and standards.Ability to work and collaborate with a safety teamResponding to employee safety concernsAssist with employee training completionsAssist with completion of JHAsConduct jobsite safety meetings/toolbox talksPosition Requirements:OSHA 30 preferred1- 5 years of experience in a safety related position, both General and Construction Industry knowledge preferred.Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety and health regulations.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with field employees and project teams.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to travel throughout the work week, with 50% of the week being overnight staysWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Physical DemandsStanding: FrequentlyWalking: FrequentlySitting: FrequentlyMaterial handling: FrequentlyBending: FrequentlyPushing/Pulling 12 lbs or less: FrequentlyLifting/Carrying 10 lbs or less: FrequentlyLifting/Carrying 11-40 lbs: OccasionallyReaching Outward: OccasionallyReaching Above Shoulder: OccasionallySquatting/Kneeling: Occasionally
