Accounting ManagerCompensation : salary + bonus Essential FunctionsSupport the Senior Manager in managing assigned areas of the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, fluctuation analyses, and supporting schedulesServe as the first-level reviewer for work prepared by staff, ensuring schedules are accurate, complete, well-supported, and prepared in accordance with GAAPReview balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items and variancesSupport the preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements, management reports, and audit schedulesCoordinate with external audit and tax teams by preparing PBC requests, providing supporting documentation, and responding to follow-up inquiriesSupport internal control activities by adhering to established procedures, maintaining appropriate documentation, and escalating control gaps or process issues as neededPartner cross-functionally with Operations, Loan Administration, and other departments to resolve accounting-related mattersProvide guidance, training, and support to junior accounting staff as neededPerform other duties and special projects as assigned.Competencies / SkillsAdvanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and the ability to manipulate large datasets effectivelyStrong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controlsExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environmentEffective written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrates accountability, follow-through, and sound judgment in preparing work that is accurate, complete, and well-supportedEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in both public accounting and private industry preferredReal estate finance, mortgage lending, private credit, or related financial services industry experience strongly preferredActive or inactive CPA license preferred, but not requiredPrior supervisory, team lead, or management experience preferred
