Food Service Runner
Job Summary
The Food Service Runner supports front- and back-of-house operations by ensuring food is delivered efficiently, accurately, and with care. This role plays a key part in maintaining service flow, supporting the kitchen team, and enhancing the overall guest experience at Lou’s Lounge in the Dole Mansion.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure food presentation and accuracy before delivery.
Clear and collect used dishware, glassware, and utensils from guest areas.
Return used items to the kitchen for washing and proper sanitation.
Assist with basic kitchen support tasks as needed, including washing dishware.
Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to maintain smooth service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in service and kitchen areas.
Support event service needs as directed by hospitality leadership.
Qualifications
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude.
Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods.
Previous food service or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
Role Details
Contractor-based position.
5-15 hours per week, based on event needs, Typical Hours are on Thursday-Sunday.
MUST have Thursday evening availability.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 10 per week
