Job#: 3031594Job Description:We are hiring a Debit Card Dispute Resolution Specialist!Role: Debit Card Dispute Resolution SpecialistSupporting: Large Financial Services ClientLocation: Hybrid – Pensacola, FL or Winchester, VAAssignment Type: Contract OnlyDuration: 6 MonthsRole Overview:The Debit Card Dispute Resolution Specialist is responsible for reviewing, processing, and resolving debit card dispute claims in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. This role involves researching transactions, applying Visa/Mastercard and federal regulations, and determining appropriate resolutions to protect members and minimize financial risk. You will collaborate with internal teams, merchants, vendors, and external financial institutions while maintaining strong attention to detail and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities: Review, research, and resolve routine to moderately complex debit card dispute claims, including chargebacks, arbitration, and compliance cases Apply federal regulations, card network rules, and internal policies to determine appropriate case resolutions Analyze transaction activity, account history, and supporting documentation to identify corrective actions Request and review documentation from members, merchants, processors, and financial institutions within mandated timeframes Document, track, and monitor dispute cases to minimize financial loss Identify transactions eligible for chargebacks and resolve provisional credit adjustments Execute general ledger entries and support case balancing activities Communicate with members, merchants, vendors, and financial institutions to resolve disputes Resolve PIN‑based debit card cash and purchase transactions, as well as complex chargeback issues Assist with training and guidance of entry‑level specialists as needed Qualifications: Familiarity with PIN‑based and/or signature‑based debit card disputes and chargeback regulations Experience in financial transaction processing, dispute operations, accounting, auditing, or compliance Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, documentation, and regulatory requirements Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with accuracy and attention to detail Experience working in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment Strong customer service and professional communication skills Ability to navigate multiple systems and adapt to new tools and technologies Sound judgment, organizational skills, and time management abilities Compensation and Benefits: The pay rate for this position is between $19.00 and $24.00 per hour.
