Steam Autoclaves (Piping & Electrical)

Job Description About Us:We are a manufacturer of high-quality steam autoclaves used in various industries including hospital, commercial medical waste processors and flight kitchen applications. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Service Technician to join our team. This position requires hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, steam piping, and electrical systems.Key Responsibilities:Install trim on steam autoclaves (valves, drainage assembly, vacuum skids and air panels) to ready the unit for shipping.Perform steam piping fabrication and installation (threaded, welded, or copper piping).Wire and connect electrical components including control panels, sensors, and safety devices.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues during assembly and testing.Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.Ensure all work meets applicable safety and quality standards.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve build processes.Perform service calls on units in the field (Southern Ca.)Start up and training on new units installed throughout the US.Qualifications:3+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, piping, or industrial equipment manufacturing.Proficiency in steam piping (threaded, welded, or copper).Basic to intermediate knowledge of electrical wiring and components.Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification is a plus.Preferred: Experience working with pressure vessels, boilers or autoclaves.Familiarity with control systems.Mechanical aptitude - plumbing and electrical.Benefits:Competitive pay based on experience.Health, and dental insurance.Paid time off and holidays.Company Description70 Year Old - Locally owned company.
