Our legal function is a genuine partner to the business - not a gatekeeper.We are seeking an Associate General Counsel to support our Chief Legal Officer across the full spectrum of legal matters that come with building and operating a technology company at the frontier of capital markets. This is a generalist role with real autonomy. You'll own meaningful workstreams from day one, not just support them.What You'll DoYou'll work closely with our Chief Legal Officer as a true thought partner, supporting them across virtually every part of the business. Responsibilities include:Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements including technology, data, and vendor contracts, in close partnership with business and engineering teamsSupporting regulatory relationships and documentation across SEC, FINRA, and offering support to our global team on relevant frameworks, while monitoring the evolving regulatory landscape and advising the business accordinglyManaging entity governance across jurisdictions, including board matters, resolutions, and corporate records, with support on financing or strategic transactions as the business growsAdvising on employment matters across US and international jurisdictions, supporting the business and talent team on hiring, performance, policy, and employee relationsProtecting and managing OneChronos's IP portfolio and advising on open source, licensing, and technology agreements in a software-first businessSupporting the firm's data privacy compliance program across GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable frameworks, partnering with engineering and operations on privacy-by-designPartnering with outside counsel relationships selectively, ensuring quality and cost efficiency across specialized mattersWho You AreJD from an accredited law school required; NY bar admission or eligibility required5+ years of experience as a corporate attorney, ideally with a mix of law firm and in-house experienceA genuine generalist, comfortable moving across regulatory, commercial, employment, governance, and privacy matters without missing a beatDetail-oriented, with a high bar for clarity and precision in everything you write and reviewSomeone who works independently, exercises sound judgment, and knows when to bring others inEnergized by a fast-moving, technically sophisticated environment where the legal function is a true partner to the businessExperience in financial services, trading, or regulated industries a plusOneChronos is committed to equal employment opportunities to all employees and applications regardless of academic area of study, race, color, religion, creed, age, national origin or ancestry, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, military or veteran status, or any other category protected by federal, state or local law.
