Security Officer

Smith Protective Services, Inc. is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals who possess or have the ability to obtain a Non-Commissioned Private Security License through the Texas Private Security Bureau. Eligible to work in the United States of America. Have a valid Driver's License. Must not have any accidents or moving violations in the last the three years. Have a high school diploma or GED. Have a working telephone. Have reliable transportation. Not convicted of a felony or crime of moral turpitude. Be willing to submit to a physical and drug screening. Agree to an in-depth background check including but not limited to criminal history, work performance, and character references. License/Certification: Non-Commissioned Security Officer License (Required) Texas Drivers License (Required) We are looking for a Security Officer to join our team and provide a safe and secure environment for our customers and employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for patrolling the premises, responding to alarms and emergency situations, monitoring surveillance equipment, and enforcing security policies. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail. Responsibilities: Assist and protect persons, property, environment, and information within their area of responsibility to the fullest extent possible within the guidelines. Perform duties in a professional manner to present a positive image. Perform duties in accordance with the expected conduct. Extend courtesy to anyone contacting a security professional for guidance or advice. Maintain a calm, professional demeanor and speak in a mature, objective manner. An impartial and objective security officer is better able to communicate with others during stressful circumstances and de-escalate potentially volatile situations. Always remain alert and observance while on duty. Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises. Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
