Job Title: Daycare Teacher Location: Starrland Learning Academy – Rio Grande City, Texas Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Compensation: $9–$11/hour, depending on experience Welcome to Starrland Learning Academy At Starrland Learning Academy, we are more than a daycare—we’re a community built on love, learning, and support. As a brand-new center opening in Rio Grande City, Texas, we’re looking for kind-hearted, dependable, and bilingual Full-Time Daycare Teachers to help us create a safe, joyful, and engaging space for children to grow and thrive. About the Role: As a Full-Time Daycare Teacher, you’ll play an important role in guiding and nurturing children through their early years. From hands-on learning to emotional support, your care will help shape the foundation for their future. We're looking for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and excited to help us build a positive, team-focused environment from the ground up. What You’ll Do: Create a safe, caring, and stimulating classroom environment Lead and assist with engaging, age-appropriate activities Support the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development of children Maintain a clean and organized classroom Assist with meals, diapering, potty training, and other daily routines Communicate positively and professionally with families Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership Follow Texas childcare licensing standards and all center policies What We’re Looking For: Bilingual (Spanish/English) required High School Diploma or GED required Experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting required A warm, patient, and dependable personality Team-oriented with strong communication skills Must meet all Texas childcare licensing requirements (or be willing to complete them) CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or must be willing to obtain) Pay & Growth: $9–$11/hour, based on experience and qualifications Opportunity for future advancement as the center grows Why Starrland?
