Job DescriptionAssignment Information:This will be an extremely physically demanding position. You will be on your feet for 10 hours a day in rugged terrain. You must be able to handle lifting, pulling, and dragging large, heavy (up to 75 lbs) piles of debris to chippers and other removal equipment. You must be able to work outside in possible extreme heat and/or cold. You must not have any physical limitations that would preclude you from doing this job. You will not operate chippers, chainsaws, or other bladed equipment.Position SummaryPuller performs tasks involving physical labor/field work, which may be in remote and/or rugged terrain where climatic conditions are variable and extreme at residential, commercial, or forestry projects in the process of creating defensible space for the customers. Pullers should remain aware and ready to assist sawyers by clearing away brush, limbs, and small trees, carry fuel, oil and tools, and watch for dangerous situations. Pullers may operate a variety of hand tools, may clean and prepare sites, maintain shop, remove (drag/carry) all varieties of vegetation including felled trees, clean up debris, and remove waste materials. They also may assist other crew workers.While on shift, because it is Federal land, there will be no smoking allowed. You must pass a drug screen and physical prior to the start date. You must bring your own lunch, bottle and/or jug to hold water. There are no stores in the area.If you don t or can t meet these requirements, please do not apply.
