As a vital part of the global Davies Group, we help businesses navigate risk, optimize operations, and spearhead transformation in the insurance and regulated sectors.The Liability Claims Adjuster is responsible for the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of liability claims on behalf of our clients. This role requires independent judgment in determining compensability, coverage, liability, damages, and appropriate reserving, while ensuring claims are handled in compliance with client-specific guidelines, internal standards, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestigate and evaluate liability claims to determine coverage, liability exposure, damages, and appropriate resolution strategyAnalyze claim exposure and recommend the proper course of action to achieve timely and appropriate settlement outcomesSet, monitor, and adjust claim reserves in accordance with established reserving practicesCommunicate effectively with insureds, claimants, attorneys, clients, vendors, and other involved parties throughout the claim lifecycleDevelop and coordinate litigation and defense strategies with assigned defense counsel when applicableNegotiate settlements and manage claims through resolution in alignment with client expectations and authority levelsEnsure all claims are handled in accordance with client guidelines, Davies (PGCS) policies and procedures, and applicable statutory, regulatory, and ethical requirementsMaintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation of all claim activity to support defensible claim outcomesPlan, prioritize, and organize workload effectively to meet service level expectations and deadlinesEmbrace ongoing learning, feedback, and professional development in a dynamic claims environmentSkills, knowledge & expertiseWorking knowledge of liability claims handling practices and industry standardsStrong negotiation skills with the ability to evaluate documentation and settlement valueEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to exercise sound judgment and manage claims independentlyProficiency with claims management systems and standard business softwareStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation qualityAbility to adapt to changing priorities and handle new challenges effectivelyOne (1) or more years of liability or claims-related experience with demonstrated performance and achievementFour-year college degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experienceEqual Employment Opportunity & Legal NoticesBenefitsAt Davies North America, we are dedicated to supporting the well-being and future of our qualifying employees.
