Job Description – IT Infrastructure Project ManagerWe are looking for a skilled and results-oriented IT Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of infrastructure-related projects across cloud, networking, compute, storage, and security environments. The role demands strong technical awareness of infrastructure platforms along with disciplined project management capabilities, excellent documentation practices, and the ability to enforce accountability within SAFe, Agile, and Hybrid delivery models.The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering and operational teams to ensure smooth project execution. This individual will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional activities, tracking action items, resolving blockers, and ensuring timely delivery of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the complete lifecycle of infrastructure projects including cloud transformations, data center migrations, network enhancements, and server or storage deployments. Prepare, maintain, and monitor project schedules, timelines, work plans, and resource assignments across technical teams using Agile, SAFe, or Hybrid methodologies. Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, ensuring all deliverables and project records remain current throughout execution. Conduct project meetings and working sessions, document action items, and proactively follow up with stakeholders to ensure ownership and timely completion. Identify project risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans while escalating critical concerns when required. Collaborate with infrastructure engineers and solution architects to convert technical designs into executable project plans. Coordinate activities across infrastructure domains including networking, compute, storage, cloud, and security teams. Monitor project progress, manage workstreams and backlogs, and drive issue resolution to maintain project schedules. Assist with release management, deployment activities, and environment readiness across development, testing, and production environments. Lead cutover planning and execution activities while minimizing operational disruptions. Ensure adherence to enterprise governance standards including security policies, compliance requirements, and change management procedures. Maintain accurate project tracking and reporting using tools such as Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, MS Project, and related platforms. Deliver regular project status updates highlighting milestones, risks, timelines, and overall project health to stakeholders and leadership teams. Facilitate Agile and governance ceremonies including daily standups, sprint reviews, PI planning activities, and steering committee meetings as needed. Coordinate with vendors and third-party partners to ensure alignment with contractual obligations, deliverables, and timelines. Technical SkillsMust Have3–5 years of experience managing technical or infrastructure-related projects. Strong organizational and coordination skills with demonstrated experience maintaining detailed project documentation and action trackers. Proven experience delivering infrastructure programs such as cloud migrations, platform upgrades, or data center initiatives. Knowledge of enterprise change management and release management practices. Understanding of infrastructure technologies including Azure or AWS cloud platforms, networking, virtualization, servers, and storage systems. Hands-on experience with project tracking and reporting tools including Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, MS Project, and Microsoft Office applications. Strong ability to manage dependencies, enforce accountability, and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business stakeholders. Experience working in SAFe, Agile, and Hybrid delivery environments within enterprise organizations. Strong understanding of project management principles including planning, scheduling, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication. Demonstrated ability to manage escalations, remove blockers, and drive decisions to ensure successful project delivery. Nice To HaveExperience working within utilities, infrastructure services, or highly regulated industries. Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) concepts including PI Planning and program-level coordination. Understanding of ITIL practices and enterprise service management frameworks. Industry certifications such as PMP, SAFe, ITIL, or equivalent project management credentials.
