Job Title: Budget Analyst IIILocation: Nipton, CA 92364Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)Pay Rate: $45 – $50/hr (W2)Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon–Fri), 100% OnsiteNote: Open to hybrid (3 days onsite) for the right candidateJob SummaryThe Budget Analyst III is responsible for accounting and financial support functions for the plant, including invoice processing, accrual entries, journal entries, and purchase order creation. The role ensures compliance with proper accounting standards and SOX requirements. This position also supports month-end close activities, financial reporting, and coordination with internal and corporate teams. The analyst will also assist in administrative and operational support for the plant.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Support and promote safety and environmental compliance programs, including payment processing for permits and license feesLead setup of annual work orders and associated purchase orders for the plantCoordinate monthly review meetings with leadership to resolve invoice and purchase order issuesCreate and maintain reports, memos, graphs, charts, and other documentation as neededReview and process goods receipts for service invoices to ensure accurate and timely paymentsPrepare journal entries, corrections, and support monthly and year-end accrual processes in compliance with SOX requirementsUtilize SAP for reporting, cost tracking, and maintenance/engineering project monitoringDevelop, audit, and maintain expense tracking systems and approval workflowsPrepare cost and budget analysis reports as requested by management with minimal supervisionUnderstand plant business processes and their financial impactSupport Business Manager with budget reviews, variance analysis, and month-end close activitiesAssist in five-year O&M and capital budget planning processesCommunicate with vendors to resolve invoice and billing discrepanciesCoordinate with Corporate Accounting on cost allocation and billing issuesServe as subject matter expert for payroll and support accurate timekeeping across departmentsHandle new employee onboarding, including I-9 verification and training assignmentsSupport general administrative functions such as supply ordering, meeting coordination, and site engagement activitiesPromote teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement across departmentsIdentify and proactively resolve operational and financial issuesPerform other duties as assignedMinimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Accounting, or related technical field from an accredited institution OR Associate degree with 4 years of relevant experience OR 6+ years of equivalent experience in a related fieldProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Experience with SAP or similar ERP/accounting systems
