This person will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask successfully. At GTT, there is no ceiling for growth; you can build your career here as long as you are committed, reliable, and sincere.The perfect candidate will meet the following criteria:· Fluent in English – both written and spoken, with strong communication skills for reading, writing, and business correspondence.· Experienced in Import Logistics – a solid understanding of international shipping, customs procedures, documentation, and coordination with freight forwarders.· Background in Sourcing and Purchasing – proven ability to identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, manage RFQs, and monitor supplier performance.· Managerial Experience – prior experience supervising teams, setting priorities, and ensuring timely execution of department objectives.In addition to qualifications, the candidate should be capable of personally executing and managing the execution of the following key duties, together with other team members:1. Supplier and vendor management2. Purchase order processing and follow-up3. Inventory and shipment tracking4. Process optimization and reporting5. Product sourcing and cost negotiation6. Import and logistics coordination7. Quality control coordination8. Cross-functional communication with sales, operations, and finance teamsDay-to-Day Duties Classified by DivisionDuties for the Import Logistics :1. Follow up and process international ocean import shipments.2. Negotiate rates with various shipping lines and determine the most effective route.3. Follow up with customs brokers on the customs clearance process.4. Schedule deliveries to company warehouses (inbound) with trucking companies and/or our drivers.5. Arrange the shipping documents for the customs brokerage team to get the customs release and to ensure ISF filing.6. Entering shipments (bills and bill payments) in our QuickBooks system. Calculating the overall expenses per shipment (broadcasted expenses) and determining the expense ratio to reflect landed cost in QuickBooks.Duties for Purchasing:1. Organize and maintain the main company /Purchase email.2. Inventory broadcast management and creating purchase orders.3. Following up with vendors during production and handling any issues that may come up.4. New product development: assist buyers with market study analysis, selecting vendors through research, negotiating prices, preparing new product details, creating item codes (UPC, etc.) and coordinating packaging designs with the marketing team.
