What You Will Do:Do not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description.Prepare animals for anesthetic procedures including pre-op medications, induction/intubation, preparing surgical sites Maintain prep room, assemble surgical supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures, and prepare surgical instrument table Performs timely and accurate record keeping and data collection Able to perform surgical procedures with veterinary supervision and train surgical staff Assists in protocol design and assist program leadership to execute all milestones of a research project Manage the post-op care Assists with necropsy Qualifications Associate degree preferred plus 1+ years of relevant work experience in a clinical setting Knowledge of medications calculations used in laboratory animals Good understanding of safety protocols for clinical environment and animal care Good knowledge of equipment xywuqvp and techniques used in the surgical setting Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail Ability to execute medical orders and research protocol instructions without supervision Ability to perform anesthesia, surgical procedures on laboratory animals with supervision
