Electrical Commissioning Engineer- Data CentersWe’re currently partnering with a Global Engineering Firm to appoint a Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of major mission-critical infrastructure projects across data centre environments.This role offers the chance to work on highly technical electrical systems, supporting commissioning from design through to operational handover within some of the most advanced facilities in the sector.The RoleWorking within an experienced commissioning team, you’ll be responsible for executing and supporting the testing, validation, and performance verification of critical electrical infrastructure.Key responsibilities include:Commissioning electrical distribution systems & associated controlsSupporting commissioning plans, processes & documentationFunctional testing & troubleshooting using specialist instrumentationAttending and documenting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)Reviewing system designs against client requirementsProducing field reports & commissioning recordsCoordinating with contractors, vendors & project teamsSupporting and mentoring junior engineersEnsuring all activities align with site safety standardsYou’ll gain hands-on exposure to a wide range of electrical systems, including:Generators & Paralleling SwitchgearHV / MV / LV TransformersUPS & Battery SystemsMV/LV Switchgear & Main SwitchboardsATS & STS SystemsPower Distribution Units (PDUs)Busways & Remote Power Panels (RPPs)PLC & Automatic Switching ControlsElectrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)Grounding InfrastructureLighting Control SystemsWe’re interested in speaking with candidates who have:BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering or relevant commissioning experienceMission-critical / data centre experience (essential)Knowledge of electrical distribution & backup power systemsFamiliarity with NETA testing standards (desirable)Understanding of BMS / EPMS / distributed control systemsStrong testing & instrumentation capabilityA proactive, detail-driven, client-facing approachTravelNationwide travel typically 50–75%, depending on project assignment.Why Consider This Opportunity?Work on high-profile, mission-critical data centre projectsJoin a globally recognised engineering organisationStrong career development within commissioningCompetitive salary & comprehensive benefitsExposure to industry-leading electrical infrastructureIf you’re an Electrical Commissioning Engineer looking to step into a global platform delivering complex critical projects, we’d be keen to discuss this opportunity with you.Apply today or contact us for a confidential conversation.
