Van Driver

divh2Van Driver/h2pAt IAP LLC, the Van Driver is responsible for overseeing individual accounts. Responsible for the processing of new shipments, vehicle movements, and disposition to load lines. The Van Driver will maintain an in-depth knowledge of account procedures and accountability for meeting specified production goals./ppstrongEssential Duties:/strong/pulliDrive a shuttle van./liliCommunicate work assignments to drivers and monitor progress toward completion throughout the day./liliRecord daily activity on a computer tablet as well as a written report./liliPlan vehicle movements in a manner that results in minimal wait time for drivers and consolidate movement whenever possible./liliTrouble shoot as needed to facilitate the processing of damaged units or other units requiring special attention./liliEnsure a spotter is used when backing up vehicles./liliServe as a role model to other employees in both work performance and adherence to policies and procedures./liliMust monitor and promote cleanliness on the shuttle van and all IAP zones./liliPromote the goal of safety and the prevention of on-the-job accidents resulting in injury to employees and property./liliMaintain a safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety./liliMust monitor, dissuade, and report any unacceptable acts of conduct of team members./liliPerform other duties as assigned./li/ulpstrongMinimum Qualifications:/strong/pulliHigh School Diploma or GED OR 1+ year continuous work experience with no more than 2 employers/liliValid US Drivers License/liliObtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security/lili2+ months experience in Field Department and working knowledge of specific account procedures./liliDrive both automatic and manual shift vehicles./li/ulpstrongPreferred Qualifications:/strong/pulliExperience using handheld scanning devices./liliMust have demonstrated commitment to safety./liliAbility to effectively communicate, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions./liliMust possess problem-solving abilities and be detail oriented./li/ulpstrongPhysical Working Attributes:/strong/pulliRepeatedly get in and out of a vehicle during the work shift and step up approximately 18 inches into an open van./liliWork is exposed to all outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, insects, and other conditions which may exist from time to time./li/ulpstrongNote:/strong This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
