Physical Therapist - Central RI Region

Physical therapists help patients with injuries and chronic health conditions regain their range of motion, manage their pain, and improve their quality of life. The Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for evaluation, design and delivery of prescribed Physical Therapy programs (within the parameters of training and expertise) to clients and residents of the partnering facility.
CareLink is always looking for rehab professionals across the state of RI committed to providing high quality, evidence-based health care services to older adults and adults with disabilities.
This position would provide coverage to our Central RI Region which includes the Providence metro area. Occasional coverage outside of this area may be required.
Essential Functions:
Fulfill all job functions of a staff Physical Therapist within the clinical scope of practice.
Examining and evaluating patients by assessing their movements and function
Reviewing patients’ medical histories and developing an individualized treatment plan
Outlining clear goals for patients and the expected outcomes of the plan
Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury
Documenting patients’ progress and modifying the plan of care if needed
Educating patients, family members, and caregivers about the rehabilitative process
Initiating prescriptive care as appropriate.
Communicating within a interdisciplinary team who are committed to the patients’ well-being
Responsible for documentation of these evaluations and treatments, accurately recording patient status, treatment response, changes noted, education, recommendations and other patient-centered actions taken.
Assists in the implementation of patient treatment, including supervising Physical Therapy Assistants
Complying with federal, state, and local certification requirements.

Education/Experience Required:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master of Physical Therapy (MsPT) degree from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapist program
Valid Physical Therapist license in the state(s) where services are rendered.
Interest in working with all abilities including the intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) population
Must possess a valid and current driver license and auto insurance.
Willing to obtain or current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
