Job description:Overall Scope Perform all duties necessary, under the general direction of the Manufacturing Manager to successfully develop new production methods, as well as improving existing methods for the Fuel Injector Manufacturing Department.Essential DutiesDevelop manufacturing process(es) for new productsSpec and procure all manufacturing equipment and toolingCreate process routings and manufacturing process metricsDevelop Process FMEAPerforms manufacturing cost analysisAssists in make or buy cost analysis for component partsImproves process/ Reduce manufacturing costs by use of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma ToolsResolves technical issues with respect to process performance (TPM, OEE)Assists in product transfer from development to productionDevelops/Implements training methods for manufacturing and maintenanceDevelop preventive maintenance procedures and metrics Ergonomic Focus Working at desks and production floor work stationsReadingreports.Verbal and written communication including use of telephone and computerStanding/walking/sitting during 8 hour work dayLifting up to 20 lbs frequently Qualifications:Minimum RequirementsBachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial)Prefer Automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsComputer skills, MS Office and CAD software (AutoCAD, ProEngineer, SolidWorks)Experience developing tooling and equipment specificationsExperience with tooling and equipment vendors (quotations, contracts, and delivery/installation, project management)Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma tools or other problem solving toolsExperience developing/monitoring/improving complete manufacturing processesExperience with TS16949 requirementsProven track record of on schedule/under budget project managementWhy is This a Great Opportunity:Major Tier1, Tier 2 auto supplier, Location Greenville, SCNigel
