JOB SUMMARY: Molecular Pathology Coordinator III, under the direction of the Molecular Pathology Coordinator Supervisor, is responsible for training, coaching, and supporting accessioning staff to ensure accurate, timely and compliant specimen receipt and data entry. This position is responsible for handling more advanced tasks. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide assistance to Coordinator Lead. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner. Train new and existing accessioning staff on specimen receipt, labeling, data entry, and workflow procedures. Ensure staff adherence to laboratory policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements. Develop, update, and maintain training materials, job aids, and competency assessments. Conducts hand on training, observations, and performance evaluations. Identify training gaps and provide corrective coaching or refresher training as needed. Collaborate with management team to improve accessioning accuracy and turnaround time. Serve as subject matter expert for accessioning processes and systems. Handling specialty specimens, filling out paperwork and sending out samples for reference testing. Triages, prioritizes, and sorts specimens appropriately for accessioning and processing. Collect information related to client inquiries/complaints and communicate to HSOS or management for follow up response. Receive and return paraffin blocks. Exercises all laboratory safety precautions and adheres to lab procedures as stated in procedure manuals. Must be familiar with Corporate Compliance Program and Corporate Policies. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Works with other departments within PathGroup and subsidiaries. Requirements: EDUCATION & LICENSURE: High School Diploma or GED is required Bachelor's degree preferred EXPERIENCE: At least 3 years of relevant work experience. Medical laboratory experience required. Display an above average rating in attention to detail.
