Role Overview Athena is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Manager, Sales Enablement and Training to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive training programs for our sales teams. This role will be crucial in ensuring our sales professionals are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to effectively articulate Athena's value proposition, master our sales methodologies, and leverage our sales technology stack. The ideal candidate has a strong background in sales training and enablement, a deep understanding of sales processes, and a passion for fostering continuous improvement in a fast-paced and innovative environment. Duties & Responsibilities Training Program Design & Delivery Design, develop, and deliver engaging and impactful training programs for new and existing sales professionals, covering Athena’s services, sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger Sale), discovery framework, and sales tools. Ensure sales teams are proficient in articulating Athena's value proposition, including our security, training, and AI-augmented human-in-the-loop model. Create and maintain a comprehensive library of training materials, including presentations, playbooks, quick reference guides, and e-learning modules. Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and ongoing learning initiatives. Content Development & Management Develop and continuously update sales enablement content, including sales playbooks, competitive intelligence, case studies, and customer-facing materials. Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to ensure sales content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with current messaging and product offerings. Manage and optimize the accessibility and effectiveness of sales enablement resources. Sales Technology Adoption & Best Practices Work closely with the Director, Sales Strategy to ensure effective adoption and utilization of our sales technology stack, including Hubspot, Salesforce, Glue, Gong, and Chili Piper. Develop training and best practice guides for leveraging sales tools to maximize productivity and efficiency. Performance Analysis & Improvement Monitor and analyze sales performance data in conjunction with sales leadership and Sales Strategy to identify training gaps and areas for improvement. Develop targeted enablement initiatives to address identified weaknesses and enhance overall sales effectiveness. Gather feedback from sales teams and leadership to continuously refine and improve enablement programs. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Sales Leadership, Sales Strategy, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure alignment on sales strategies, messaging, and training priorities. Provide insights from the field to inform product development and marketing campaigns. Key Stakeholders Skills Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire sales professionals. Strong instructional design capabilities, with a proven track record of creating effective training content. Deep understanding of the sales lifecycle and various sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, Solution Selling). Ability to translate complex information into easily digestible and actionable training. Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple training initiatives simultaneously. Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving startup environment. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field is preferred. Proven expertise in designing, developing, and delivering impactful sales training programs. Demonstrable experience with sales enablement content creation and management. Proficiency in leveraging CRM systems (specifically Hubspot) and other sales tools for training purposes. Ability to identify training needs and develop targeted solutions. Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. Experience in collaborating cross-functionally to achieve enablement goals. Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in a sales training, sales enablement, or sales operations role within a B2B or business-to-prosumer sales environment, preferably within SaaS, technology services, or business process outsourcing (BPO). Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering sales training curriculum. Proven track record of improving sales team performance through enablement initiatives. Direct Reports and Span of Control This role will not have direct reports initially.
