Converting Engineer

Position Summary: Develop, implement and/or improve RFID label conversion processing in a fast-paced, high technology, electronics assembly environment and provide manufacturing capability to meet or exceed product quality, quantity, and cost requirements.Minimum Qualifications:B.S. or B.A. degree in Engineering discipline (preferably Industrial or Mechanical)One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing assembly environmentEssential Job Functions:Review new product designs for manufacturability Evaluate, purchase, install & qualify new production equipmentWork with customers and/or vendors on process transfersProgram automated label conversion and inspection equipment.Propose changes for cost savings, yield, & productivity improvementsResearch latest technologies in relation to capability improvementsTrain manufacturing personnel on assembly proceduresProvide technical support to sales & marketing teams for change requestsOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesDemonstrated understanding of basic engineering fundamentalsFamiliarity with laminating, die cutting, and roll to roll processing is a must.Experience with basic quality toolsMicrosoft Office productsAbility to work in a Cleanroom, Class 1000+Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalSuperior organization and problem-solving skills
